Summer won't last forever, but a Caribbean escape on the calendar can make winter a lot easier to look forward to. With nine Celebrity ships sailing the Caribbean this winter, now is the perfect time for me to plan my warm-weather getaway before the cold weather arrives.
Every year our GoSmart team gets together to share ideas, plan what's next, and spend time together outside of Zoom calls. This year we chose Royal Caribbean's Utopia of the Seas, and it reminded me why cruises work so well for company retreats. Everyone can participate as much or as little as they

Or your room could simply come with you. Spend the day wandering Budapest. Wake up somewhere new. Explore Bratislava. S

Why it works

One ship holds the whole group with room to split up. The teens vanish to the pools and slides, the grandparents find the quiet deck, and everyone reconvenes for dinner without anyone having to plan a thing.

Worth knowing

The big stop is Perfect Day at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean's private island. A lot is included, the beaches, most pools, and the food, while the Thrill Waterpark, Coco Beach Club, and cabanas cost extra and sell out, so book those early if you want them.
Reserve specialty dining and shows as early as your cruise line allows, since popular times disappear quickly with larger groups. Set one loose daily meetup so nobody spends the trip texting to find each other.
This is a five-night Bahamas loop out of Miami. It is a lot of ship and only a couple of ports, which is the point for a reunion: the ship is the destination.
