If the Colosseum is on your Rome itinerary, I strongly recommend planning your visit in advance.
🎟️ 1. Book your tickets ahead of time. Choose the official website or a trusted ticket provider, and make sure you understand what’s included.
⚠️ 2. Watch out for unofficial sellers. Some websites look very similar to official ones, so always check the website address before paying. Avoid buying tickets from street sellers around the monument.
☀️ 3. Think about the heat and queues. If you’re visiting during summer, a guided tour or a skip-the-line ticket may help you save time, although security checks can still mean waiting.
🏛️ 4. Don’t just see it from the outside! Going inside is a completely different experience and gives you a much better sense of the history of ancient Rome.
🎟️ If you’re looking for tickets, comment COLOSSEUM and I’ll send you a link with some options.
Full transparency: if you book through my link, I may earn a small commission, at no extra cost to you.
Have you visited the Colosseum already, or is it still on your bucket list? And if you’ve been, what tip would you give someone visiting for the first time?
